Joye Marie Leventhal

Before founding Satya Project, Joye co-founded  GlobalAcorn, an international biotechnology company focusing on discovery and development of advanced therapeutics for chronic illnesses and pain. Her previous experience running Private Fund Management, combined with her System Analyst work at Grubb & Ellis, provides a foundation for her transition to the nonprofit sector. Joye graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and her expertise encompass system analysis, project and team management, finance, and business development. Joye guides the Satya Project team with her unique mix of energy, international experience, and artistic style.

Aaron Hammack

Prior to joining Satya Project, Aaron worked at HGST and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s Molecular Foundry. His work focused on nanotechnology and nano materials research including near-field characterization of heat assisted magnetic recording, scan-probe, optical and electron microscopy and spectroscopy as well as development of first principle models for the optical and electronic structure of nanocrystals. Aaron obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from UC San Diego and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Aaron brings together his scientific acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to lead Satya Project’s scientific endeavors and expertise in research and development.

Frank Long

After finishing his undergraduate education at USF, Dr. Long completed medical school at Tulane University while simultaneously pursuing a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Given his longstanding passion for whole health care, Dr. Long obtained his Holistic Medicine Board Certification. He has worked in a variety of hospital settings both domestically and internationally with the aim of bringing improved health to underserved populations and third world countries. Frank promotes and helps coordinate the Satya Project programs to promote enhanced global healthcare.

Phil Pincosy

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Phil completed his doctoral degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Washington where his research focused on magneto-fluid dynamics.  His research career developed through positions at Lawrence Berkeley Labs, TRW, and Lawrence Livermore Lab growing his expertise in electro-magnetic radiation techniques and magnetic field plasma confinement. Phil assists the Satya Project in developing science research projects that can then transition to applied healthcare solutions.

Laurianne Bodard-Neidecker

After earning a degree in Business Law from Asses University in Paris, Laurianne began her impressive career in international marketing in California.  She moved into social work in Japan and then Switzerland where she joined University Hospital, Geneva providing counselling support to people suffering from terminal illnesses.  Lausanne returned to pursue a degree in Psychology at the University Paris VIII with a clinical special`nation in Client Centred Therapy (Carl Rogers).  Following this, she developed and taught classes in prenatal bereavement and end-of-life counselling at Caritas Geneva.  Lausanne currently practices in New York where her approach is based on facilitating clients’ access to inner resources, identifying unique talent and potential.  Laurianne brings together her broad skill sets and sensitivity to the client, to assist Satya Project evaluate and develop talk-based healing therapies.

Marie Casey

Marie Casey earned her undergraduate degree in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley, and her PhD in the same discipline at the University of Pennsylvania.  Following her graduation, Marie was a consultant in life sciences and pharmaceutical R&D at Accenture, then an equity research analyst in medical technology at Goldman Sachs then moved as an equity research analyst in Medical Devices and Molecular Diagnostics to JMP Group, where she consulted with investment firms by researching healthcare companies, analyzing clinical trials and competitive landscape, performing market sizing and mapping, and forecasting revenue and earnings. Marie currently is an associate at Health Quest Capital, a leading San Francisco company that provides capital for healthcare innovation in medical devices, diagnostics and digital health.  Marie is most interested in leveraging her scientific, business strategy and financial expertise to bring disruptive innovations from bench to market. Marie brings passion for healthcare along with her analytical and financial skills to assist the Satya Project with its global healthcare initiatives.
